Addiction...it comes in many forms...just like idolatry, addiction poisons the mind, clouds the judgement center, and distracts us, numbs us, and ensnares (mainly men) from their calling... their purpose in life... their telos... to love their wife like our Father loved the church, to use one's talents to fulfill His plan for our lives, and to be fruitful and multiply... raising up the next generation of Christ followers through being the provider/protector of the family. Sadly, men have stepped down from this role as women in society have made strides toward equality... Men have lost their identity... looking towards anything other than faith, the only source that would remind them what their true identity really is. It is not, "how much money you make," "what you do for a living," or even, "chasing tail." Real men, who know their Father's opinion of them, realize that they only need to follow the true Father, and everything else will taken care of.
